First Electric Vehicle Rapid Charger Installed by Rushmoor Borough Council

Rushmoor Borough Council Joins GeniePoint Network                                                                              

22 January 2018ChargePoint Services is pleased to announce they have installed the first Rapid Charger for Rushmoor Borough Council to provide electric vehicle drivers in the Borough with convenient, rapid charging in the heart of Farnborough, Hampshire.

The charger is directly connected to ChargePoint Services’, GeniePoint Network, which across Hampshire already has 20 Rapid and Fast chargers available for public use, it can be accessed by drivers either by mobile web App, or RFID card, and provides 50kW charging for both AC & DC vehicles, capable of recharging an electric vehicle in just 20-40 minutes.

The state-of-the-art, tri-connector, Rapid Charger is situated in the Queensmead Car Park in the very centre of Farnborough next to the Kingsmead Shopping Mall and Queensmead pedestrian shopping centres.

The charger is extremely accessible being situated just off the A325, a main link road between Camberley, Farnborough & Aldershot and just minutes from the many shops, restaurants and leisure facilities of Farnborough.
