CHARGEPOINT SERVICES LTD DEMONSTRATES AT “PLUGGED IN PLACES” INFORMATION DAY MODE 3 HOME CHARGER UNIT UNVEILED FOR PRIVATE SECTOR
The aim of the event is to encourage the region’s business community to make the switch to electric vehicles and reinforce both the environmental and financial benefits of making that change.
As one of the Plugged in Places approved suppliers, ChargePoint Services Ltd will be presenting the latest state of the art technology in EV charging – including the GE WattStation Mode 3 Home Charge Unit.
ChargePoint is official distributor and installer to GE in the UK, and in addition to the Home Charger, ChargePoint will also be demonstrating the Durastation twin socket pedestal and the Durastation wall mounted charge point, both mode 3 units with 16 or 32Amp, and modular in design to ensure they are future proof and able to adapt as new technologies are developed.
Alex Bamberg, Sales Director, ChargePoint Services Ltd, said. “This is a great opportunity for us to unveil technology of this kind to the business community. Using electric vehicles as part of a fleet option makes both financial and environmental sense for businesses today. With grants available both for purchasing electric vehicles, and installing EV charge points, as well as massive reductions in fuel costs and tax incentives for using electric vehicles, the benefits are substantial and can be realised quickly by those making the change.”
Private Sector organisations play a vital part in ensuring a viable network of EV refuelling stations across the country. ChargePoint Services Ltd is currently working with Ecotricity to install their “Electric Highway” a network of EV charge points at the Welcome Break service stations up and down the length of the UK.
